Great Ocean Road ½ MARATHON 2015 Training Program

Aiming to do the Great Ocean Road ½ MARATHON (23klm) in 2015? Here is a great training program to get you on the road to success. 

Things you must do in a week

You must be able to run 10km easy before you start this program…

Do these below three sessions during the week with the weekend longer runs


Run at your 5km fun run race speed along a flat route for 15-20minutes


Do a SLOW run mid week around 7-10kms


Easy slow 20min run with some hill or inclines

Recovery is the key to you feeling GREAT.


Weekend longer runs! .......

February 8th :11km
February 15th: 15km
February 22nd: 12km
March 1st:17km
March 8th: 13km
March 15th: 18km
March 22nd: 14km
March 29th: 19km
April 5th: 15km
April 12th: 20km
April 19th: 16km
April 26th: 21km
May 3rd: 15-17km          
May 10th: 10-13km or rest up...NO RACING!!
May 17th : The big day. 23km: Go for it! :)
